Ms. Palmer


I am thrilled to be joining the Aurora Academy family as a 4th grade teacher! I have been part
of the Aurora Academy community as a parent for the past 9 years. I graduated with a BS from
Purdue University and earned a Masters of Elementary of Education from the University of
Missouri - St. Louis. This is my 25th year teaching elementary school mostly in the 4th and 5th
grades. I enjoy reading, period films, and road trips with my kids. I am looking forward to a great
school year!




Ms. McElreath (Miss Mac) 



I was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado, and I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in communication and a minor in leadership. Immediately after graduation, I was accepted into the Boettcher Teacher Residency Program where I taught in Commerce City for a year as the English Language Arts in a 6th grade classroom. After that, I taught for two years at a middle school in Broomfield. While there, I coached the spelling bee team, and created a poetry reading assembly for students and their parents. This will be my third year at Aurora Academy, and my second year teaching 4th grade! I am currently in the process of getting my Masters Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in the program "Teaching Diverse Learners". I also have been trained in yoga, and social emotional learning, two things I integrate into my classroom. I love teaching and cannot wait for this wonderful year!
