Meet the ESS Team

Mrs. Re

Or as my students used to call me, Ms. Z. My name is Ellie Re, formerly Ms. Zimmerman. I was married in July 2022 to my husband Scott. I am so excited to be continuing this year as an Exceptional Student Services Teacher. After teaching 3rd grade for my first four years here, I moved into an Exceptional Student Services Teacher position. This will be my 7th year at Aurora Academy Charter School and will be my 11th year teaching. I taught Early Childhood Education in APS for 4 years before coming to AACS.

I graduated with my Master of Arts in 2020 from the University of Colorado at Denver with an emphasis in Special Education. I
am licensed in Early Child Education, K-6th and Special Education in the State of Colorado. I grew up in Gunnison, a small mountain town, but my mom ended up moving us to Dallas when I was around the age of 12. So, I have spent about half my life in Texas and the other half in Colorado. I originally moved to Denver January 1, 2000. I live with my husband and our three fur babies, 2 cats and a dog. I also have 2 stepsons who are both in high school.

My teaching philosophy is that I believe you have to nurture and develop the whole child, from their skills in academics, to their social and emotional needs, to their character values, and to support their individual learning needs. I place an extremely high value on diversity and the inclusion of all students. I also strive to build deep relationships with parents and families to work together as a team to support their student in every way possible. I look forward to getting to know all the students and families that are a part of the Aurora Academy community. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns!!

Ms. Rowley

I am the ESS lead at Aurora Academy Charter School. I have a degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I love working with your students and can't wait to meet our new students.

I am a third-generation Colorado Native and live in the Parker area.  I have a 7, almost 8, year old who loves hockey, lacrosse, and horses. I have 4 dogs and 4 Morgan horses. When not freezing at the hockey rink, my spare time is split between my horses, quilting, reading, and traveling. I love Disney and Star Wars. My son will tell you he is a trained Jedi!

I can't wait to help your student learn to love learning. I believe that all students can learn. Some of us just need a different key to the toolbox.
I am excited to have this opportunity to learn from your students!

Thank you for trusting us with your most precious children.

Mrs. Dinger

I am an ESS teacher here at Aurora Academy and I LOVE IT HERE! I have a dual degree in Special Education and Teaching English Language Learners from Brigham Young University. I also have another BA in Spanish and History also from Brigham Young University. As you can see I LOVE LEARNING & TEACHING! I started teaching in Utah opening an Autism Unit at an Elementary School while I was in my last year at University. I taught there for 3 years and then started a family. I have FOUR lovely daughters (ages 14, 13, 11, and 8), a kind and supportive husband and an adorable mutt named Ebony.
When my youngest was old enough for Preschool I decided to go back to teaching and taught preschool for 2 years (I was her preschool teacher!) here in Colorado. I then taught 1 year at an Elementary School in Douglas County and happily made a change here to Aurora Academy where I feel appreciated and valued! I LOVE the diversity that is embraced here!
I am a native of Oregon and have lived in Spain, Italy, Utah, Idaho and Texas! I LOVE to travel and to explore the US with my family. I love to cook (especially Mexican and Italian food), to read (especially Historical Fiction and YA novels), to hang out with my family (watching Disney+ and playing Mario Cart), and to go on adventures with my family to explore Colorado.
I believe that each child is unique in their own way. As an educator I hope to help children embrace their ABILITIES and know that there is power within them to accomplish all goals that they set for themselves.

Mrs. Panian

A little bit about myself, my name is Mrs. Panian.  I was born and raised in New York.   This is my 1st year here at AACS and I’m new to Colorado. We moved to Colorado because my husband has retired from the Army and we decided to move back to his hometown.   This is my 12th year teaching.  Throughout my teaching career, I have taught in Ohio, New York and twice in Georgia.  I enjoyed teaching kindergarten through 5th grade.  I received my undergraduate degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA and my Master's degree from State University of New York at Potsdam.  At home, I love to cook.  During the summer my family loves to travel and go camping.
